The Gallery

(Shammash – Emma Sergeant – Conté crayon on paper)

The big move of Green and Stone after its 90 years of inhabiting 259 King’s Road is no tragedy; not only is the new shop on the Fulham Road brighter and less damp, equipped with a few modern perks, we are now offering a beautiful gallery space for artists and designers to exhibit their works. This has long been asked of us, and no longer will we have to compromise by hanging artists’ pictures on top of our art materials and supplies.

The Gallery at Green and Stone will be equipped with Fibre-Optic Wifi, lighting and heating, a dedicated manager of the Gallery and an online catalogue, as well as a late evening for a Private View. The cost to hire the gallery for a week is from £4,000 +VAT and the daily rate is from £1,000 +VAT, which includes the day before the hire date and day after to set up and take down. We will not be taking any commission on sold pieces. It’s 390sq/ft is insured up to £250,000 and we are also happy to help with simple hanging of pieces.

The benefit of having a gallery attached to our beloved art shop is that any customers buying their art supplies will also be able to peruse the exhibits in the gallery, and vice versa. This, we hope, will be a particularly unique and attractive aspect of hiring the gallery for selling artists. Plus, we are right around the corner from the Chelsea Arts Club and have the footfall from the gorgeous restaurants and interiors shops that now surround us.

The Gallery at Green and Stone will be available to hire from January 2019. If you have any inquiries about hiring the gallery space, please email thegallery@greenandstone.com.

The inauguration of the gallery will be on the 16th of November with a beautiful retrospective from acclaimed artist Emma Sergeant. Please come and see us from the 16th – 25th of November.
